They usually do a code mixing unintentionally. Code mixing becomes one of unique phenomena in a language. This activity also occurs in Savunese community in Fatufeto, Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara. This society usually mix Savunese language with Indonesian as they talk with eath other on this area.Their partner of speaking also respond by using code mixing. This research focuses on code mixing that occurs in formal and informal situation in Savunese community in Fatufeto, Kupang city in East Nusa Tenggara. The purpose of this study are to find out the types and factors of using code mixing. The research is a type of qualitative research that uses observation and interview as data gathering techniques. The data used in this study were taken from several informants who are eligible by fulfulling the criteria as informants. The result shows that there are two types of code mixing, namely inner code mixing and outer code mixing, the total data found by researcher is 24. 16 data is inner code mixing and 8 data for outer code mixing.&nbsp; From the data, it can be concluded that the type of code mixing which is more dominant is inner code mixing, while outer code mixing rarely occurs because foreign language (for example English, etc) are rarely used and are difficult to pronounce by parents in the community Fatufeto. In addition, factors that cause code mixing in conversations in Savunese ccomunity in Fatufeto are linguistic, language maintenance and the background of the speakers factors.</p> Itin Asri Doko, Agnes M. Code mixing can be applied among social interaction in bilingual communication and society. There are many people nowadays who also uses code mixing on their conversation. This research focuses on code mixing that occurs in formal situation in a church in Tarus, Kupang regency in East Nusa Tenggara. This research deals with utterances that are spoken by preachers in GSJA Alfa Omega Tarus. The purpose of this study is to know the types of code mixing and factors of using code mixing on Sunday preaching in GSJA Alfa Omega Tarus. The research is a type of qualitative research that aims to describe the types and factors of using code mixing on Sunday preaching in GSJA Alfa Omega. The data used in this study were taken from an &nbsp;informant who are is a preacher in this church. Data were gathered by using observation and interviews in the field. The result shows that types of code mixing found on this church are word insertion, pharase insertion, repetition insertion, and cluase insertion. In the world of education, we learn many languages. One of which is English language. English is an international language. In English, there are four skills that should be mastered, there are listening speaking, reading and writing. Writing skill is one of the difficulty skill, because writing skill is needed a creative thinking and skill in mastering that ability. The aim of this research is to know the elements of writing and to find out the dominant element of writing mostly found on third semester students writing at English Department of Citra Bangsa University. In this research the researcher analyzed the elements of writing found on students writing. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method to describe the data. The subjects in this research are the English three lecturer and the third semester students of English department at Citra Bangsa University. The data that researcher obtained through documentation and interview explain in description. This was classified as qualitative research. The object of this research was the Wewewa language on Southwest Sumba regency in East Nusa Tenggara province. The data were collected through observation and interview with some informants. The result of this research showed that based on formal parameter; there are three categories to form causative construction. The first is analytic causative that use the causative word <em>tuka</em> “ask; the second is morphological causative construction that use the copy pronoun <em>pa-</em>to be added onto the root of a verb or on an adjective to make it to a causative verb; the third is lexical causative that use some causative lexicons such as <em>todi</em> ‘close’, etc. Based on the semantic parameter, it was found that true causative and permissive causative are seen from the control given by the agent. Each language has each own morphology system. It means that each language has it own way to the convey words. One of the famous ethnic languages is spoken by the people in Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The purpose of this research is to identify compound words and types of compound words in the Bilba dialect. The type of this research is qualitative research. The data used in this study were taken from informants who are native speakers of the Bilba dialect. Method using on this study are observation and field interviews. The analysis result shows that compound words in Bilba dialect are formed by the combination of two words that have different meanings in the same and different class of words. In Bilba dialect there are seven processes of compound words that can be classified into three types of compound words namely, compound nouns, compound verbs, and compound adjectives.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Elsa Hilda Anisa Lenggu, Agnes M.
