Abstract.
The aim of this study is to determine the influence of using animation-based interactive learning media on English subjects for material of the introduction letters and numbers towards learning motivation of first-grade students at SD Inpres Oepura 3 Kupang City. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study were 30 students, the sampling technique used the census method because all members of the population were sampled. It was done when the total population was less than 30. Class A was used as a control class with 15 students and class B as an experimental class with 15 students. The instruments used were structured observation sheets and closed questionnaires. Before the questionnaire instrument was distributed, the researcher conducted a validity and reliability test to obtain the validity of the instrument. The results of the validity test showed that 19 items were valid and reliable. The data analysis technique used independent t-test, but before the t-test was conducted, the data analysis requirements were tested, namely normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the normality and homogeneity tests showed that all data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The result of the normality test showed that the value of sig. in the experimental class 0.120 > 0.05 and the control class 0.198 > 0.05. Besides, the homogeneity test showed a significant value of 0.531 > 0.05. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the mean of learning motivation of the experimental class was 73.84 and the learning motivation of the control class was 57.57, which meant 73, 84 > 57.57. Based on the result of the independent sample t-test, it showed a 2-way (t-tailed) significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is significant influence of using animation-based interactive learning media in the first grade of elementary school students.

Abstrak.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa inggris untuk pengenalan huruf dan angka terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas I SD Inpres Oepura 3 Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa, sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus karena semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel, hal ini dilakukan bila jumlah populasi kurang dari 30. Dengan demikian kelas A dijadikan sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 15 siswa dan kelas B sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 15 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi terstruktur dan kuesioner tertutup. Sebelum instrument kuesioner disebarkan, peneliti melakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk mendapatkan keabsahan instrument. Hasil uji validitas menunjukan bahwa 19 item soal dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent t-test, namun sebelum dilakukan uji t dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis data yaitu uji normalitas, homogenitas. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan semua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Dimana hasil uji normalitas menunjukan bahwa nilai sig. pada kelas eksperimen 0,120 > 0,05 dan kelas kontrol 0,198 > 0,05, sedangkan uji homogenitas menunjukan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,531> 0,05. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan rata-rata mean motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen 73,84 dan motivasi belajar kelas kontrol 57,57 artinya 73, 84 > 57,57. Berdasarkan hasil uji independet sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 2 arah (t-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Oleh karena itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi pada siswa kelas I SD.
