Abstract
Abstract. The covid-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of life, one of which is in the field of education. With the prohibition of face-to-face learning activities to break the chain of transmission of the corona virus, learning must be done online or online. The purpose of the research in this study is to find out how the role of parents in accompanying children to learn in the covid-19 pandemic in the learning of Natural Sciences class V Elementary School Inpres Oepoi Kupang. The type of research used is quantittative research using a description approach. The data collection techniques that researchers used in the study were interview guidelines and documentation studies. The party that will be interviewed is a parent at SD Inpres Oepoi Kupang. Based on the results of research and discussion of research results showed that in general the constraints of parents in accompanying children to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic is a lack of understanding of material by parents, difficulty of parents in fostering children's learning interests, not having enough time to accompany children because they have to work, parents are impatient in accompanying children when studying at home, difficulty of parents in operating gadgets, and constraints related to the reach of internet services.

Abstrak. Pandemi covid-19 telah berdampak pada semua aspek kehidupan, salah satunya yaitu pada bidang pendidikan. Dengan dilarangnya aktivitas pembelajaran tatap muka untuk memutus rantai penularan virus corona, maka pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara online atau daring. Adapun tujuan penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar di masa pandemi covid-19 pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam kelas V SD Inpres Oepoi Kupang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualittatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah pedoman wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Adapun pihak yang akan peneliti wawancara adalah Orang tua di SD Inpres Oepoi Kupang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kendala-kendala orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar di rumah pada masa pandemi Covid-19 adalah kurangnya pemahaman materi oleh orang tua, kesulitan orang tua dalam menumbuhkan minat belajar anak, tidak memiliki cukup waktu untuk mendampingi anak karena harus bekerja, orang tua tidak sabar dalam mendampingi anak saat belajar dirumah, kesulitan orang tua dalam mengoperasikan gadget, dan kendala terkait jangkauan layanan internet.
