Screening for Plagiarism

In maintaining the integrity of academic publishing, LECTURE is committed to upholding the highest standards of originality and ethical scholarship. Every manuscript submitted to the journal is subject to a strict plagiarism screening process before being sent for peer review.

All submitted manuscripts are checked using Plagiarism Checker X, a reliable plagiarism detection software that analyzes the similarity index of a document against a wide range of sources, including online publications, academic databases, and previously published materials. The goal is to ensure that submitted articles are free from academic dishonesty, including direct copying, paraphrasing without citation, or unattributed use of others’ intellectual property.

The editorial team will not proceed with the peer review process if a manuscript is found to contain a similarity index exceeding 20% (excluding properly cited references and quotations). In such cases, the manuscript will be immediately rejected, and the corresponding author will be informed of the reason. Minor and acceptable levels of similarity (e.g., in methodology descriptions or standard academic phrases) will be carefully assessed for context and relevance.

Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure the originality of their work before submission. This includes proper citation of all sources, quotation of borrowed text with appropriate referencing, and avoiding self-plagiarism or redundant publication. Manuscripts that are resubmitted after revision may also be re-checked for similarity as part of the editorial decision-making process.

By submitting a manuscript to LECTURE, authors affirm that their work is entirely original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. The journal views plagiarism as a serious violation of publication ethics and will take appropriate actions, including retraction, in cases of proven misconduct discovered after publication.
