About the Journal

LECTURE (Linguistics, Education, Culture, and Literature) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published annually (every August) by the English Language Education Study Program, Universitas Citra Bangsa, Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of research and scholarly work in the fields of Linguistics, Education, Culture, and Literature.

LECTURE welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, practitioners, and students worldwide who are interested in sharing their insights, findings, and theoretical or practical advancements. All manuscripts must meet rigorous academic standards and adhere to ethical publishing practices.

Focus and Scope

LECTURE accepts original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual papers related to (but not limited to) the following areas:

  • Linguistics: Phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, comparative historical linguistics, contrastive linguistics, cultural linguistics, English linguistics, applied linguistics, and other branches of linguistics.

  • Education: Teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, teacher education, educational innovation, educational policy, assessment and evaluation, and classroom-based research.

  • Culture: Cultural identity, local and global culture, intercultural communication, ethnographic studies, and cultural change.

  • Literature: Literary criticism, comparative literature, contemporary literary studies, and the role of literature in society and education.

Publication Frequency

LECTURE is published once a year, every August.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to LECTURE are subject to a double-blind peer review by at least two qualified reviewers. The editorial workflow generally includes:

  1. Initial editorial screening (scope, format, and basic quality),

  2. Plagiarism/similarity screening,

  3. Double-blind peer review,

  4. Editorial decision (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject), and

  5. Revision and final evaluation prior to publication.

Open Access Policy

LECTURE provides immediate open access to its content under the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The journal adopts the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).

LECTURE does not charge submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).

Language

Articles must be written in English. Abstracts should be provided in both English and Bahasa Indonesia to enhance accessibility for wider audiences.
