Traditional games are a cultural heritage that contains important social, educational, and moral values, and have the potential to serve as a social learning space in student character building. However, amidst the dominance of technology and digital games, elementary school students' interest in traditional games is declining, resulting in fewer opportunities to learn social values naturally. This study aims to explore how traditional games integrated in extracurricular activities can serve as a social learning space and character building medium for elementary school students. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that traditional games such as gobak sodor, engklek, and egrang not only bring fun, but also foster character values such as cooperation, responsibility, discipline, and empathy naturally. These activities act as a space for social interaction that strengthens students' communication, tolerance and mental resilience. Despite challenges such as the influence of gadgets and limited facilitators, traditional games still have the potential to be an effective medium in character education that is contextualized and rooted in local culture. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating traditional games in extracurricular activities as a fun and meaningful social learning space for children's character building
