Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to JUKANTI must ensure that their manuscripts comply with the journal’s focus and scope, article template, publication ethics, and submission requirements.

JUKANTI accepts original research articles, applied research articles, system development and evaluation studies, literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual or theoretical papers relevant to information technology education, educational technology, digital learning, and applied information systems in educational, training, academic, institutional, or community service contexts.

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Authors are responsible for ensuring clarity, academic style, grammar accuracy, and consistency of the manuscript before submission.

Submitted manuscripts must follow the JUKANTI article template and generally include: title, author names and affiliations, abstract, keywords, introduction, method, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment if applicable, and references.

Authors must provide complete and accurate metadata during submission, including author names, affiliations, email addresses, corresponding author information, ORCID ID if available, title, abstract, keywords, and references.

All manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts will be screened for similarity before entering the peer-review process.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening will undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on academic quality, originality, relevance to the journal scope, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and reviewer recommendations.

Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant JUKANTI the right of first publication. All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

JUKANTI does not charge any submission fee. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 is applied only to manuscripts that have been accepted for publication and proceed to the copyediting stage. APC payment does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review results, or manuscript acceptance.

Authors must comply with JUKANTI’s publication ethics policy. Research involving human participants, personal data, institutional data, sensitive information, or ethical concerns must comply with applicable ethical standards.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the JUKANTI online submission system. Incomplete submissions may be returned to authors for correction before further processing.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The manuscript fits the focus and scope of JUKANTI.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal
  • The manuscript follows the JUKANTI article template and author guidelines
  • The manuscript file is submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • The title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author information are complete and accurate.
  • All authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to JUKANTI.
  • The manuscript is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and unethical text reuse.
  • The manuscript has been checked for similarity before submission. As a general guideline, the similarity index should not exceed 25%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and standard phrases.
  • All figures, tables, instruments, images, or third-party materials included in the manuscript have proper permission when required.
  • The references are accurate, complete, consistently formatted, and include DOI links when available.
  • The authors agree with JUKANTI’s copyright notice, licensing policy, publication ethics, peer-review process, and article processing charge policy.
  • If the research involves human participants, personal data, institutional data, sensitive information, or ethical concerns, the authors have obtained informed consent, institutional permission, or ethical approval when required.

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with JUKANTI retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles published in JUKANTI are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, remix, transform, adapt, and build upon the published work for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the original publication in JUKANTI, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Authors are permitted to deposit and share the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and academic networks, provided that the original publication in JUKANTI is properly cited and linked.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and do not infringe any copyright. Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material included in the manuscript when required.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and other personal data entered in the JUKANTI (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi) website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal, including user registration, manuscript submission, editorial communication, peer review, publication, indexing, metadata management, and journal administration.

JUKANTI collects and processes user data only to support scholarly publishing activities and the management of the editorial workflow. Personal data will not be used for purposes outside the journal’s publishing activities and will not be sold, rented, or made available to third parties for commercial purposes.

Author and article metadata, including names, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, references, and DOI information, may be made publicly available as part of the published article and may be distributed to indexing services, metadata aggregators, digital preservation services, and scholarly databases.

Reviewer identities and review reports are treated as confidential and will not be disclosed publicly, except where required by applicable editorial policies, ethical investigations, or legal obligations.

Users are responsible for ensuring that the personal information they provide is accurate and up to date. Requests related to correction or clarification of personal data may be submitted to the JUKANTI editorial office at edu@ucb.ac.id.
