Screening for Plagiarism
All manuscripts submitted to JUKANTI (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi) are screened for similarity before entering the peer-review process.
The editorial team uses plagiarism detection software to identify textual overlap, duplicate publication, inappropriate paraphrasing, and possible plagiarism. Similarity reports are reviewed carefully by the editors and are not interpreted solely based on the similarity percentage.
Manuscripts are evaluated by considering the nature and source of similarity, including properly cited quotations, references, common methodological phrases, institutional names, and standard terminology.
As a general guideline, manuscripts submitted to JUKANTI should have a similarity index of no more than 25%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and standard phrases.
Manuscripts with a high similarity index may be returned to authors for revision, rejected before peer review, or investigated further when plagiarism, duplicate publication, text recycling, or unethical reuse of previous work is suspected.
If plagiarism or serious publication misconduct is identified after publication, JUKANTI may issue a correction, retraction, or expression of concern in accordance with its publication ethics policy.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism.
