Author Guidelines
LECTURE – Scientific Journal of Linguistics, Education, Culture, and Literature
We invite the submission of original, unpublished scholarly manuscripts related to the fields of Linguistics, Education, Culture, and Literature. All manuscripts must meet the editorial standards and follow the guidelines below.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original (not published or under review elsewhere).
- Articles must be written in English.
- Abstracts must be provided in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (maximum 200 words each).
- All submissions must be made exclusively via the journal’s official website. Submissions by email will not be accepted.
- The peer review process follows a double-blind format.
2. Manuscript Format
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Length: 4,000–7,000 words (excluding references)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
- Margins: 2.54 cm on all sides
- Language: Academic and grammatically correct English (proofreading is recommended)
3. Manuscript Structure
Please organize your article using the following structure:
A. Title
- Clear and concise (maximum 15 words)
- Avoid abbreviations and complex terms
B. Author Details
- Full name(s) of all authors
- Institutional affiliation(s)
- Corresponding author must be clearly indicated
C. Abstract Keywords
- Abstract in English and Bahasa Indonesia (each max. 200 words)
- 3–5 keywords (separated by semicolons)
D. Introduction
- Background, rationale, and objectives of the study
E. Literature Review (if applicable)
F. Methodology
- Research design, participants, instruments, and data collection procedures
G. Results and Discussion
- Present findings clearly and relate them to existing literature
H. Conclusion
- Summary, implications, and possible future directions
I. References
- Follow APA 7th Edition citation style
- Minimum 15 references, with at least 80% from reputable journal articles (preferably recent, within 10 years)
4. Citation and Referencing Style
Use APA (7th edition) for in-text citations and reference list.
Example:
- In-text: (Anderson, 2022) or Anderson (2022) found that…
- Reference list:
Anderson, R. (2022). Cultural Narratives in Modern Literature. Oxford University Press.
5. Tables and Figures
- Place tables and figures within the text, not at the end.
- Number and title all tables/figures (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
- Use high-quality images (minimum 300 dpi for graphics).
6. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with more than 20% similarity will be rejected or returned for revision.
7. Article Processing Charges (APC)
LECTURE does not charge any submission or publication fees. It is fully free of charge for authors and readers.
8. Copyright and License
Authors retain the copyright of their work. All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with appropriate credit.
9. Submission Process
