Editorial Policies
1) Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Each article is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant academic expertise.

Anonymity: Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and reduce bias.

Evaluation criteria: Reviewers evaluate originality, clarity, methodological rigor, academic contribution, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Editorial decision: The editorial team makes the final decision based on reviewers’ reports and editorial judgment.

Timeline: The typical review time is 2–4 weeks after passing initial editorial screening (scope, formatting, and basic quality).
Possible decisions include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
2) Open Access Policy
LECTURE is an open access journal, meaning all articles are freely accessible online without subscription or payment. This policy supports wider dissemination, readership, and scholarly impact.
LECTURE applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, readers may copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, provided appropriate attribution is given.
3) Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their articles.

Authors grant LECTURE the right of first publication.

All published articles are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
4) Plagiarism and Similarity Check
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

Manuscripts with a similarity index > 20% (excluding references) will be rejected or returned for revision, depending on the nature of the overlap.

Authors are responsible for ensuring originality, proper paraphrasing, and accurate citation practices.
5) Ethics Statement (COPE-Aligned)
LECTURE follows ethical publishing standards consistent with the principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Authors must:

Prevent unethical practices, including plagiarism, data fabrication/falsification, citation manipulation, and duplicate submission/publication

Take appropriate action when ethical concerns or misconduct are suspected, including issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as needed
6) Article Retraction and Correction
The editorial board reserves the right to issue corrections or retractions when necessary. This may occur in cases of:

Proven plagiarism

Fabrication or falsification of data

Serious ethical violations

Honest errors that significantly affect interpretation or conclusions
All retractions and corrections will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.
7) Archiving and Preservation Policy
LECTURE ensures long-term preservation of its published content through:

Archiving all published articles in the institutional repository of Universitas Citra Bangsa

Planning future integration with long-term digital preservation services such as LOCKSS/CLOCKSS and/or national repositories (e.g., Garuda)
8) Authorship and Contributorship

Only individuals who have substantially contributed to the research and writing process should be listed as authors.

All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Guest, honorary, or gift authorship is not permitted.
9) Conflict of Interest
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, personal, or academic conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review process, or editorial decision-making. When conflicts exist, appropriate steps will be taken to ensure an objective and transparent process.
10) Publication Frequency
LECTURE is published once a year, every August.
