Abstract

This research aims to develop a contextualized applied mathematics learning module with a case-based learning (CBL) approach in the Bachelor of Applied Civil Engineering Study Program. The development of this module is designed to help students not only understand mathematical concepts but also be able to relate and apply them in the context of practice in the field. The method used is research and development with the ADDIE development model at the analysis stage, learning needs are identified based on course learning outcomes. The module design was designed with relevant topics such as derivatives and integrals in the context of civil engineering and accompanied by applicable case studies. The development stage involves validation from material experts and learning design experts, to ensure the quality of module content and presentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis of the questionnaire data filled out by material experts, media experts, and students. The results of expert validation showed that the module met the eligibility criteria with some improvements. The score of 83% for the information presentation aspect and 92% for the module content, both of which are in the good to very good category. The learning aspect scored 85% and the content of the material 90%, both also rated good to very good. The module implementation was carried out through a limited trial to 33 students, while the practicality evaluation was measured through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results of the analysis showed that the aspects of language, presentation, visual, format, and student learning and understanding obtained scores in the 80% range, which indicated that the module was classified as good and practical to use. development of learning media that integrates the CBL approach in vocational education, especially civil engineering. Helps present a contextualized model for engineering education.
