Abstract

Abstract. Transformation of digital education in the post-pandemic era The COVID-19 pandemic has presented both potential and considerable obstacles, particularly for the 3T (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost) regions in Indonesia. This research aims to look at how using educational technology in 3T areas affects them, explore how the philosophy of science helps create a framework for critical thinking during these changes, and identify the main issues from both philosophical and practical perspectives. We evaluated the data using a literature study approach, employing content analysis and topic analysis of diverse national and international scientific sources. The research results show that unfair access to infrastructure, unskilled teachers, low community involvement, and strict regulations are the main barriers to providing fair and relevant digital education. Constructivism and humanism present distinct paradigms that underscore the significance of localized meaning, substantive learning, and active community engagement. This research creates a model to evaluate context that includes five areas: access, competence, policy, participation, and paradigm, and supports flexible, thoughtful, and locally focused methods for changing education. These findings confirm that genuine digital transformation in the 3T regions can only be realized if technology is regarded as a tool for liberation, rather than simply modernization.
