As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • Originality and Plagiarism:
    - The submission is an original work and has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for publication elsewhere.
    - The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism, and all sources are properly cited.
  • File Format: The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format. PDF submissions are only acceptable for the initial review phase.
  • Manuscript Structure:
    - The manuscript includes the following sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and any applicable Appendices.
    - The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • References: All references are cited in the text and listed in the References section following the APA (7th edition) citation style.
  • Figures and Tables:
    - Figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end of the manuscript.
    - Each figure and table is labeled and captioned, with proper citations if necessary.
  • Author Information:
    - The title page includes the full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.
    - The corresponding author is clearly identified, and their contact information is provided.
  • Ethical Compliance:
    - The research has been conducted in compliance with ethical standards, and any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
    - If applicable, the study has received approval from the relevant ethics committee.
  • Language and Style:
    - The manuscript has been thoroughly checked for spelling and grammatical errors.
    - The language is clear, concise, and free of jargon.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Innovative Technologies in Learning and Education (J-ITLE) welcomes submissions of high-quality manuscripts that fit within the scope of the journal. The following guidelines provide essential information for authors regarding manuscript preparation, formatting, and citation standards.

1. Scope and Types of Papers

J-ITLE publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical reports in the fields of educational technology and innovative learning methods. All submissions must contribute significantly to the advancement of knowledge in these areas.

2. Manuscript Submission

  • Language: All manuscripts must be written in English.
  • File Format: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format. Figures and tables should be embedded in the manuscript file.
  • Length: Manuscripts should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title Page:
    • Title of the paper.
    • Full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.
    • The corresponding author should be clearly indicated.
  • Abstract: A concise summary of 150-250 words, outlining the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords for indexing purposes.
  • Main Body:
    • Introduction: Brief background, research question, and objectives.
    • Literature Review: Overview of relevant research.
    • Methodology: Detailed explanation of research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
    • Results: Presentation of findings.
    • Discussion: Interpretation of results, implications, and limitations.
    • Conclusion: Summary of key findings and recommendations.
  • References: A complete list of all cited works, formatted according to APA (7th edition) guidelines.

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Use 12-point Times New Roman for the main text.
  • Spacing: Manuscripts should be double-spaced, including references, tables, and figure captions.
  • Margins: Use 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
  • Headings: Use a consistent heading style to clearly distinguish different sections. Use up to three levels of headings.
  • Figures and Tables:
    • Number figures and tables consecutively.
    • Include a descriptive caption for each figure and table.
    • Ensure that all figures and tables are referenced in the text.

5. Citation and References

All references must follow the APA (7th edition) style. Below are some common citation formats:

6. Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: All submissions are checked for plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be returned to the authors without review.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human subjects must have received approval from the relevant ethics committee.

7. Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online submission system. The submission must include the manuscript, a cover letter, and any supplementary materials.

8. Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Authors may expect a decision within 6-8 weeks. Possible outcomes include acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.
