Information For Authors
The Journal of Innovative Technologies in Learning and Education (J-ITLE) welcomes submissions of original scholarly works in the field of innovative technologies in learning and education. Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, publication ethics, peer-review policy, and open access policy before submitting a manuscript.
Before Submitting a Manuscript
Before submitting to J-ITLE, authors should ensure that the manuscript:
- Falls within the journal’s focus and scope;
- Is original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publisher;
- Follows the journal article template and author guidelines;
- Uses proper citation and reference style as required by the journal;
- Has been checked for plagiarism or similarity before submission;
- Includes complete author information, affiliation, and valid email address for each author;
- Includes ethical approval, research permission, or informed consent where applicable;
- Includes funding information and conflict of interest statement where applicable.

Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the journal’s Author Guidelines. The guidelines provide information about manuscript structure, formatting, citation style, references, tables, figures, article template, and submission requirements.

Focus and Scope
Authors should ensure that their manuscripts are relevant to the scope of J-ITLE. The journal publishes scholarly works related to educational technology, digital learning, e-learning, mobile learning, artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, online teaching strategies, educational platforms, curriculum innovation, teacher professional competence, and other related areas in technology-enhanced learning and education.

Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Authors need to register with the journal before submitting a manuscript. If already registered, authors may log in and begin the online submission process.
During submission, authors are required to complete the metadata accurately, including title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, email addresses, references, and supporting files where applicable.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review before publication. The editorial team first checks the manuscript for suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, completeness of metadata, plagiarism or similarity concerns, and basic ethical requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to qualified reviewers according to the manuscript topic and reviewer expertise. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy
Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics and plagiarism policy. J-ITLE does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate submission, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other forms of research and publication misconduct.
All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism or similarity checking tools before or during the editorial review process.

Article Publication Charges and Other Author Fees
J-ITLE does not charge article submission fees, article processing charges, publication fees, peer-review fees, editorial processing fees, copyediting fees, layout editing fees, proofreading fees, DOI registration fees, hosting fees, or any other author-side charges.
All publication processes in J-ITLE are free of charge for authors.
Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing
J-ITLE is a fully open access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription, embargo period, or registration requirement.
Authors retain copyright of their published articles without restriction. By submitting and publishing their work in J-ITLE, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and agree that their articles will be published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and source.

Publication Schedule
J-ITLE is published twice a year, in January and September. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis through the journal’s OJS platform.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for:
- Ensuring that the manuscript is original and ethically prepared;
- Ensuring that all authors have contributed significantly and approved the final manuscript;
- Providing complete and accurate author metadata;
- Disclosing funding sources and conflicts of interest where applicable;
- Responding to editorial and reviewer comments in a timely and professional manner;
- Checking proofs carefully before publication;
- Informing the editor immediately if any significant error is found in the submitted or published work.
