Kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru meliputi kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Keempat kompetensi ini dalam praktiknya merupakan satu kesatuan yang utuh. Guru professional sudah seyogyanya dapat menguasai keempat kompetensi itu. Menyadari hal tersebut, dosen yang mengampu mata kuliah Teaching English for Young Learner Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat sharing knowledge terkait dengan pengajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai mata pelajaran untuk kelas 1 dan 4 di kurikulum merdeka. Secara umum pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan konsep dan teknis pengajaran bahasa inggris untuk anak usia dini yang sesuai dengan pengajaran bahasa inggris di abad 21 yang mana pentingnya mengintegrasikan teknologi kedalam pengajaran.
