Reviewers play an important role in helping the editorial team evaluate the originality, relevance, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and academic contribution of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewer Eligibility
J-ITLE welcomes qualified academics, researchers, practitioners, and professionals with relevant expertise in educational technology, learning innovation, pedagogy, curriculum development, instructional design, artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, digital learning, information systems, and related fields.
Prospective reviewers are expected to have:
- Relevant academic qualifications or professional expertise;
- Research, teaching, or professional experience related to the journal’s focus and scope;
- Familiarity with scholarly writing, research methodology, and academic publication standards;
- Ability to provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews;
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and conflict of interest disclosure.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers for J-ITLE are expected to:
- Provide objective and constructive feedback: Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts fairly and provide comments that help authors improve the quality of their work.
- Maintain confidentiality: Manuscripts, review reports, and editorial communications must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed outside the review process.
- Complete reviews in a timely manner: Reviewers should complete the review within the agreed timeframe. If unable to meet the deadline, reviewers should inform the editorial office as soon as possible.
- Declare conflicts of interest: Reviewers must notify the editorial team of any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest before accepting or continuing a review assignment.
- Report ethical concerns: Reviewers should inform the editor if they identify possible plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, or other ethical issues.
- Respect the double-blind review process: Reviewers should not attempt to identify the authors and should avoid revealing their own identity in comments intended for authors.

How to Become a Reviewer
Researchers, academics, and professionals who are interested in becoming reviewers for J-ITLE may apply by completing the following steps:
- Prepare an updated CV or academic profile.
The CV should include academic background, institutional affiliation, research interests, publications, reviewing experience, and areas of expertise. - Complete the Reviewer Registration Form.
Applicants may complete the online form below:

The editorial team may request additional information, such as ORCID iD, Google Scholar profile, Scopus Author ID, SINTA ID, or other academic profiles where available. - Wait for editorial confirmation.
Applications will be reviewed by the editorial team. Accepted reviewers may be contacted by email and assigned review tasks according to their expertise and availability.

Reviewer Recognition
J-ITLE values the voluntary contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing. The journal may recognize reviewer contributions in the following ways:
- Certificate of appreciation: Reviewers who complete assigned reviews may receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution.
- Public acknowledgement: Reviewers may be acknowledged on the journal website or in annual acknowledgement lists, with their consent.
- Reviewer profile update: Reviewers may request updates to their reviewer profile, expertise, affiliation, or contact information.
- Academic service record: Reviewers may use their reviewing contribution as part of their academic service portfolio, subject to confidentiality requirements.
Reviewer recognition does not compromise the confidentiality of individual manuscript reviews, reviewer identities in the double-blind review process, or editorial decision-making.
No Reviewer Fee or APC Discount Policy
J-ITLE does not charge article submission fees, article processing charges, publication fees, or other author-side fees. Therefore, the journal does not offer APC discounts to reviewers because all publication processes are already free of charge for authors.
Reviewer participation is voluntary and does not influence the review, acceptance, or publication of any manuscript submitted by the reviewer as an author.
Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials, data, ideas, or findings obtained through the review process for personal or professional advantage.
Reviewers must decline a review invitation or inform the editor if they have any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest. Conflicts of interest may include financial relationships, institutional relationships, recent collaboration with the authors, personal relationships, academic competition, or other circumstances that may affect objectivity.
