Journal of Innovative Technologies in Learning and Education (J-ITLE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of integrating innovative technologies into educational settings. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for disseminating high-quality research that explores the intersection of education, technology, pedagogy, and learning innovation.

J-ITLE focuses on both theoretical and practical applications that enhance learning experiences across diverse educational contexts. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical reports that contribute to the development of educational technology and its effective, ethical, and meaningful use in teaching and learning.

J-ITLE welcomes submissions that contribute to the development of educational technology and its implementation in various learning environments. The journal covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

The journal publishes scholarly works that provide actionable insights for educators, researchers, instructional designers, technologists, and policymakers. The goal of J-ITLE is to foster innovation in education through the effective use of technology, thereby improving learning outcomes, teaching practices, and educational equity.

Publication Schedule and Submission Process

J-ITLE publishes issues two times a year, in January and September. Each issue may include selected articles that have successfully completed the editorial screening, peer-review, copyediting, and production processes.

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review according to the journal’s peer-review policy. The review and editorial process is conducted as efficiently as possible while maintaining academic quality, research integrity, and editorial independence.

The estimated review and editorial process may take up to two months, depending on manuscript quality, reviewer availability, revision requirements, and editorial considerations.

Open Access Policy

J-ITLE is an open access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription, embargo period, or registration requirement.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.

This policy supports the global dissemination of scholarly knowledge and aligns with the journal’s commitment to open access publishing.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published articles without restriction.

By submitting and publishing their work in J-ITLE, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and agree that their articles will be published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

The CC BY 4.0 license allows others to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author(s), a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Author Fees

J-ITLE does not charge any article submission fees, article processing charges, publication fees, peer-review fees, editorial processing fees, copyediting fees, layout editing fees, proofreading fees, DOI registration fees, hosting fees, or other author-side charges.

All publication processes in J-ITLE are free of charge for authors.

Sponsorship and Revenue Sources

J-ITLE is published with institutional support from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Citra Bangsa, Indonesia. This support helps the journal maintain its open access policy without charging authors submission or publication fees.

Any institutional support, sponsorship, operational support, or non-author revenue source does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review processes, reviewer selection, acceptance decisions, or publication outcomes.

History of the Journal

Founded in 2024, Journal of Innovative Technologies in Learning and Education (J-ITLE) was established to address the growing need for scholarly research that bridges the gap between educational theory and technological practice. Since its inception, the journal has published research related to educational technology, digital learning, online learning, learning innovation, and technology-enhanced pedagogy.

The journal continues to develop in response to the rapidly changing landscape of educational technology and the increasing importance of digital transformation in teaching and learning.

Archiving and Preservation

J-ITLE is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and continued accessibility of its published content.

The journal preserves its published articles through the Open Journal Systems platform and institutional digital storage managed by the publisher, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Citra Bangsa, Indonesia.

The journal also supports metadata dissemination and discoverability through DOI registration, indexing services, academic databases, search engines, and metadata harvesting platforms when available.

J-ITLE will continue to improve its digital preservation strategy by participating in trusted preservation networks, institutional repositories, or other reliable archiving systems when such services become available.
