PERBANDINGAN LUAS POLA WATERMAK GERABAH SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PEMBAKARAN BERBASIS PENGOLAHAN CITRA DIGITAL

Dupliksai sering terjadi pada barang seni karena bernilai jual tinggi. Duplikasi ini juga terjadi pada kerajinan gerabah. Untuk mengatasi duplikasi salah satu caranya yaitu menggunakan watermark. Pada gerabah yang rentan pecah waktu proses pembakaran mengharuskan material watermark yang digunakan tidak mempengaruhi keadaan gerabah saat dibakar. Oleh karena itu perlunya kajian tentang luas pola watermark pada gerabah, karena luasan ini mempengaruhi deformasi gerabah itu sendiri. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan luas pola watermark gerabah sebelum dan sesudah dibakar berbasis pengolahan citra digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan seperangkat radiografi digital untuk memperoleh citra watermark di dalam gerabah. Pengolahan citra berupa proses treshold yang menghasilkan citra biner. Citra biner yang diperoleh dihitung luasan daerah watermark. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa persentase luasan gerabah sebelum dibakar 16,52% dan gerabah sesudah dibakar 11,96%. Ada perubahan luasan watermark sebelum dan sesudah di bakar. Hal ini berarti bahwa ruang watermark mengalami penyusutan sesudah dibakar sehingga material watermark yang digunakan tidak mempengaruhi kualitas gerabah.
