Kemampuan berbahasa inggris merupakan salah satu kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki pelajar pada era ini. Umumnya, ditemukan kendala dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, sehingga diperlukan suatu solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Solusi tersebut dapat berupa suatu sistem yang terintregasi yang mudah diakses dan menarik perhatian dalam bentuk aplikasi Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis web menggunakan Kotonya and Sommerville Linear Process Model. Pembangunan sistem tersebut memerlukan satu fase penting yaitu menganalisa kebutuhan, tujuan, fungsi dan batasan-batasan pengembangan. Perancangan rekayasa aplikasi tersebut terdiri dari elicitation, analysis and negotiation documentation, dan validation. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, prototype dapat membantu mengkomunikasikan gambaran keseluruhan sistem yang akan dibangun kepada pengguna pada tahapan validation. Berdasarkan rekayasa kebutuhan yang sudah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa dengan melakukan rekayasa kebutuhan ini sebelum membangun suatu sistem dapat mempermudah identifikasi masalah terkait pembangunan learning management system dapat dibangun sistem sesuai dengan kebutuhan.
